I grew up with the Aramis scent as it was something my dad would always wear so it's a scent I have been accustomed to and just love. My dad has so many types of cologne but this is one of his favourites and I would get him the cologne and aftershave for his birthday.
It's one of those distinct memories where I would watch my dad get ready for work or a special occasion and I would see him apply the aftershave all over his face and the scent would just fill up the room. It's woody, strong and very earthy. I would describe it as being a vintage scent that's very masculine and mature.
The bottle is the classic rectangular shape with the golden lid and brown writing. He would only have to use one spray and it would last for the whole day. Even today when I smell it I'm drawn back to when I was young and how anytime I would hug and kiss my dad I could smell this scent on him. He had just about every product from the Aramis collection.

A Lasting Fragrance.
We must have "discovered" Aramis when it was first introduced as I see 1964 above, a year after our marriage. My husband wore this exclusively for ages as it was such a pleasant fragrance. Woody but not overpowering and it lasted well on his skin. One of the things I noticed was that it never changed. The fragrance could be relied upon to still smell fresh hours after it was first applied. It works well as an After Shave but the spray colognes work beautifully too.
It's been a while since I bought him Aramis - sounds like a great Fathers' Day present. It definitely suits a mature man but the newer editions would appeal to any man.
Layering with Aramis is excellent and lasting with the fragrance able to last all day.
Particularly for the more mature male but could also appeal to younger men.
