    Kylie Minogue makes a strong case for wearing a statement lip and eye at the same time

    Don’t get us wrong we love a ‘less is more’ approach when doing our makeup, and the age-old 'rule' of picking between a statement lip OR a statement eye is one we thought we’d never break. 

    At least that was until Kylie Minogue revealed the cover to her 15th album ‘Disco’. And now we are all kinds of confused.

    Just as we thought Kylie’s makeup was beginning to move away from the popstar’s signature glitz and into softer, rosier tones, er latest look has us wishing we could be transported straight into a 70s nightclub (a #CovidSafe Studio 54 perhaps?).

    Admittedly, we don’t know how brave we’d feel walking to the shops in Kylie’s dazzling turquoise eye shadow paired with the bold red lip, but never say never....

    Mmmm Kylie is the Aussie Madonna... Seriously she is over 50 now and has to realise that "less is more". Kylie keep to the natural that you had before - suits you more - this picture /makeup is way too try hard and sad looking. Sorry Girl - Be proud of your age

    I'd wear either separately, but it's too OTT to wear together - unless you're on stage, like Kylie.

    Myself I prefer to wear muted tones when it comes to makeup Kyle Minogue always looks beautiful in whatever makeup and outfits she wears.

    If I was going to a 1970s or 1980s fancy dress party I'd go for this look but not an everyday look for me.

    Love it!

    I remember when I was a kid and I watched Danni Minogue every week on YTT - she was a fave and I remember one episode Danni's sister Kylie came on the show to sing a song with her. I remember thinking that I didn't realise Danni even had a sister and I remember how young Kylie was back then (she's actually my age) and it was cool to see a real part of Danni's life - a sister that was in the background but it wasn't going to stay that way. A few years later Kylie became a megastar!
