    Kate Hudson kicks off 2021 with pink hair

    Is there really a better time to test out a new hair colour than a new year? We think not.

    And it seems Kate Hudson is of the same mindset, as the actress just gave us a glimpse of her new pink 'do via her Instagram Stories. 

    In the video, the mum-of-three is seen jamming out to her son playing the xylophone (a killer Christmas present one can only assume), but even the shimmer filter and sweet melody couldn't distract us from her new rose gold hair.

    Remaining blonde at the roots, Kate's pink dip dye blends subtly from the mid-lengths before going full-blown colour at the ends. Styled loosely with a relaxed braid at the front,  it has to be said, the hint of blush really suits the 41-year-old.

    Of course, this isn't the first time Kate has gone pink. The How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star previously went for a similar shade of pastel in 2014.

    Not one to shy away from hair changes, she's also dabbled with cropped pixie styles, brunette colour and has even gone the full buzzcut. We love a hair chameleon.

    I have never gone pink. I would consider it but I think I would want to change it straight back after a bit.

    I must be old now because these colours look really silly to me. Even on Kate it looks poorly done. The margin for error is pretty high.

    I am having highlights put into my hair later this month and would love to be so bold as to put pink into my hair, but think I am not brave enough.

    I’ve been trying to go lighter with my home colouring to try and blend the grey/white in so pink might have worked. However before Xmas I decided to go a bit purple so pink will have to wait.

    I love pale pink hair. I've done a touch of lavender but I'm not sure my hairdresser would agree that pink is for me.

    I love pink hair but it was such a difficult process and completely ruined my hair. Maybe I'll try again when my hair turns white so at least I won't have to bleach it

    I've gone bright pink before, but pastels don't wouldn't work on my mostly brunette hair.

    Love it and her longer hair. I have pink stuff at home, mask and dye, but still didn't use them. On me , purplish wash looks better then pink I think

    Wash out is good for a temporary look or trial of pink
